Subject: Rotterdam Interchange Traffic Stops 




On Monday, March 2, 2020, from 11:00PM to 5:00 AM on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, the Rotterdam Interchange (Exit 26), will have intermittent traffic stops. These stops will only affect traffic entering and exiting the Thruway at the Rotterdam Interchange (Exit 26) [Town of Rotterdam, Schenectady County]. During the traffic stops, motorists will be unable to enter or exit the Thruway system at the Rotterdam Interchange (Exit 26). Each traffic stop is expected to last no longer than 20 minutes apiece. These traffic stops are necessary for installing an overhead Cashless Tolling gantry in the toll plaza. 



Thruway Traffic Safety and State Police will be on scene coordinating the traffic stops with Cashless Tolling Contractors LLC. 



This operation is weather dependent, with a backup date of the night of Tuesday, March 3 into the morning of Wednesday, March 4. If for any reason there is a schedule change, a subsequent notification email will follow.
