To all members,

My sister has developed a 4 part evolution using yoga techniques to serve
first responders in better dealing with the exceptional stresses that we
face every day. She has offered to present this to a group of East
Glenville Fire Department members as a courtesy as she attempts to perfect
the presentation to help as many first responders as possible better deal
with the stresses of our work.

Please read the attached synopsis, and hopefully you will understand how
these techniques may be used by each and every one of us to help in staying
healthy, and more importantly safe, as we do the work that is demanded of
us on very short notice.

There is a very short window of opportunity for us to receive this
education. There is a minimum of 4 members that must attend the sessions,
and the class size is capped at 15. The dates that are available for the
classes will be four of the following: Tu July 22, Mo July 28, We July 30,
Th July 31, Mo Aug 4, Th Aug 7, We Aug 13 and Th Aug 14. Starting
anywhere from 6 to 7pm (based on the class participants aggregated
preference) and will last 1 hour each class.

Please reply to me if you are interested in this opportunity, and are able
to commit to four 1 hour classes on four of the listed days. If you can
commit to fewer than four classes, let me know that as well, as it may
still be ok to attend less than the full four. Please include which dates
are best for you and which starting time is best as well. Class dates will
be chosen based on the replies received in order to maximize our
participation. If I receive enough interest and I believe the class can be
held, I will ask the Board of Fire Commissioners for permission to use the
Station.

Thus, I need your replies by Thursday July 17 in order to make sure that
there is interest, and to get the paperwork in place to hold the classes as
conveniently as possible at our Station.

There is no cost to any member or to the District. Nothing will be
attempted to be sold to you, and no memberships or any other solicitation
will be requested of anyone. This is a no strings attached, definitely
"outside of the box" opportunity to put a unconventional "tool" in the
"tool boxes" that we each have.

Please reply to me at your earliest convenience, and hopefully we will be
able to hold this class.

Jeff Prescott
